

Sara, the daughter of Winifred Lane Wentworth and Aubrey Dean Wentworth, was born in Tallahassee, FL, on November 24, 1951. After attending Tallahassee schools, she graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a B.S. in Engineering Physics, also receiving her M.S. and Ph.D. Sara worked as a research scientist for Standard Oil and as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, in the DC area. She completed her J.D. degree at Georgetown University.
In addition to pursuing her professional interests in physics, engineering, and law, Sara enjoyed playing guitar, composing music, studying and practicing Buddhism, and reading widely in subjects ranging from astronomy to economics. Sara loved exploring nature through hiking, canoeing, and was an avid bird watcher.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brothers Chris, of Crete, NE; Dan, of Canada, and Ben, of Tallahassee; her nephews, Brendan, of Ridgway, CO, and Max, of Tallahassee; and her niece, Maira, of Centennial, WY.
She will be remembered and missed.
