Sara Faye Guthrie Fain, 85, died May 27, 2012, surrounded by her family at home in Tallahassee after a brief illness. She was ably assisted and comforted in her last days by caring representatives of Covenant Hospice. Mrs. Fain was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, John M. Fain, and her grandson, Jason W.Fain. She is survived by her three sons, John M. Fain, Jr. (Margaret Wallace), Stephen M. Fain (Patti Rericha Fain), and Timothy D. Fain, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. A private memorial service will be held at a future date in her hometown of Ashland, Alabama.
