Sarah Elizabeth (Betty) Branch Gramling , 84, left this world surrounded by her loving family November 11, 2012 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Betty retired from the State of Florida, Department of Insurance, with 33 years of dedicated service. She was born in Tallahassee in 1927 and was proud to say she moved an entire six blocks in her glorious life. For 59 years, Betty maintained her status as a proud Lafayette Park Neighborhood resident. She enjoyed working in her yard, always keeping her flowers blooming and grass glowing. She took pleasure in playing Bingo, visiting with her ever growing family and friends as well as, attending class reunions with her beloved Leon High School Class of ‘46. She was an active member of the Women’s Club, Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge.
She is survived by her daughters, Julia Kuhnle, Myra Ditto and husband Edward Ditto; son, Ralph Wilbur Gramling III; granddaughters, Branch-Lee Ocampo, Brook-Lyn Kuhnle, Alexis Driggers and husband Ben Driggers, Jessica Ditto; and grandsons, 1st Lt. Martin J. Kuhnle (USMC), Randy Ditto and wife Patricia; and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Jordan and husband JM Jordan; sister-in-law, Jane Branch; and their families.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae Joyner Branch and Jehu Branch; her husband, Ralph Wilbur Gramling Jr.; her brother, Kenneth Branch; son-in-law, Albert J. Kuhnle III.
The graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Roselawn Cemetery on Piedmont Drive at 3:00 PM.
Remembrances may be made to Friends of Our Parks with the City of Tallahassee Dept of Parks Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs, the American Cancer Association, or to the Big Bend Hospice Organization.
