

She was born July 1, 2009, in Tallahassee, the daughter of Jenna Lynn Porter. Scarlette dedicated her heart to Jesus on October 20, 2012. She attended City Church and was a dance student at The Dance Studio of Tallahassee. Scarlette was a bright light, bringing joy and amazement to all who knew her. Her boundless energy, astonishing intelligence and ability to share life through the eyes of a toddler with those around her will be missed and mourned.
Scarlette is survived by her maternal grandparents, Rufus and Mavis (Zorn) Porter of Tallahassee; her grandmother, Tonya (Porter) Eovacious; her uncle, Heath Porter and her aunt, Deana Coyner, all living in Tallahassee. She is also survived by her cousins, Colter and Cierra Coyner and many other loving relatives throughout the Southeast.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Abbey Funeral Home Chapel, Tallahassee Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to 2-1-1 Big Bend or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and can also be mailed to 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc., P.O. Box 10950, Tallahassee, FL 32302-2950. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home.
