Sharon Townsend Frazier, 80, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on October 1, 2026. Born on January 15, 1946, Sharon lived a life centered around the people she loved most. She was nurturing, giving, and supportive, and her greatest joy was her family.
For 60+ years, Sharon shared her life with her beloved husband, John Frazier. Together they built a family and a lifetime of memories. Sharon was a devoted wife and a loving mother to Cheryl Frazier, Craig Frazier (Mindy), and Allison Corrigan (Michael). She supported her children wholeheartedly, making sacrifices for their happiness and dreams and always being someone they could count on.
Her love for her family continued into the next generation. Sharon cherished her grandchildren—Bailey, Austin, Ansley, Morgan, and Kinley—and loved being part of their lives. She attended their games, concerts, recitals, and events whenever she could, took them on special lunch and dinner dates, and created individualized vacations and adventures with them. She made each of them feel deeply loved and supported.
Sharon was deeply involved in her church and in serving others throughout her life. While living in Miami, she served as a Sunday school teacher, Bible school leader, and youth group leader. She also led and coordinated the church’s Silver Club, a ministry that brought older adults together for fellowship, friendship, and special activities. Sharon gave generously of her time and energy to create a welcoming community where people could connect, build friendships, and enjoy time together.
Sharon was also a phenomenal Girl Scout leader who poured her heart into the girls she led. She encouraged them to be confident, capable, and compassionate, creating memories and friendships that lasted far beyond their years in Girl Scouts.
She was an exceptional cook who could make almost anything—and make it full of flavor. Cooking was one of the many ways she expressed her love. Sharon’s generosity and cooking talents extended beyond her family. She catered for three churches as well as privately, bringing her talents and caring nature to everything she did. She was known for always going above and beyond!
Sharon loved reminiscing about her family’s adventures, especially the silly moments that made everyone laugh. Those memories, including their “Thursday night sillies,” will remain treasured reminders of the joy she brought to their lives.
Above all, Sharon believed that family is forever. She taught those around her to love deeply, give generously, and support one another. Her family will miss her wisdom and experience, her laughter, her encouragement, her cooking, and the countless ways she made life better for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Townsend; her mother, Charlotte Townsend; her sister, Barbara Jones; and her son, Gary Frazier.
Sharon leaves behind a family who will carry her love and lessons with them for generations to come.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, phenomenal Girl Scout leader, and generous friend who spent her life making others feel cared for and loved.
A memorial service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Killearn Methodist Church, 2800 Shamrock Street South, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
