Shelley was a 1968 graduate of Rickards High School where she excelled in choir, earning a superior in solo performance in state competition. Shelley participated in Upward Bound at Yale University but returned to Tallahassee and worked for the State of Florida as well as a number of private businesses. Shelley was an avid volunteer, a member of the Auxiliary for the Saules-Bridges American Legion Post #13, the last Worthy Matron of the Robert Butler Masonic Lodge Order of the Eastern Star chapter, and served as Lady of the Gates for Daughters of the Nile, Tarsus Temple #161.
Shelley was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ed and Edith Paschall, as well as several pet cats, who were really furry little family members to her. She is survived by two sisters, Paige McGlathery of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kim Richter of Lecompton, Kansas; and one brother, Edward D. (Mack) Paschall Jr. of Hilo, Hawaii.
Her friends and family will treasure her memory. She was a gentle, sweet, helpful, and funloving lady who did her best to make the lives of those around her better.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
