Stephen A. Friend, age 55, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at his home.
He was born November 14, 1956, in Hollywood, FL and moved to Tallahassee in 1958. Stephen was a 1975 Graduate of Leon High School. He retired from the State of Florida, Department of State, in 2004 after 28 years of service. Stephen was an avid Seminoles fan and enjoyed traveling with his wife in the mountains of North Carolina.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Ethel; one brother, Larry (Cathy) Friend of Milton, FL; one sister, Shirley (Tim) Kerns of Tallahassee, FL; and also survived by three nieces and three nephews.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011, at 4:00 P.M. at Culley’s MeadowWood Event Room at 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL (850) 893-4177.
