Renee, I have been looking for you and Steve for some time. Although we did not stay in touch after Oak Tree Village, I have the fondest memories of you both and your little family. I am so saddened by Steve's passing. He was a strong life force full of fun and love for all. I would love to hear from you.

I am so sorry to be late in sending my sympathies, but I was not aware of Steve's passing until I got an email returned to me. Steve was an old candidate, client, and trusted colleague for probably 25 years although we were not in touch that frequently. I send my deepest sympathies to all his family and friends who will miss him greatly, as will I. Kind regards, Ellen Nassberg, FACHE

Dear Renee, Jalon, Greg & Paul,

I am so very sorry about this sudden end the colourfull life of your husband and father. Somehow I expected to have Steve around forever, bouncing and laughing.
Thank you very much for sharing the pictures and memories with all of us.

Steve was just the best area rep I could have wished for during my time in 1985 as an exchange student. And all of you as a family made it so easy to fall in love with your country.

The first months - even years after such a loss are the toughest. Renee let´s keep in touch please. You and your sons will always be welcome at my place any time. My thoughts are with you!

Renee & Sons: Last weekend, for some unknown reason, I was thinking of you and Steve. I went to Facebook and put in Steve's name and it took me to the web. I cannot express to you how sad I am for you and your sons. It just made me cry. Although I didn't know Steve well, I know he was a funny guy and any pictures I saw of him on Facebook, there was always a smiling face. I will always remember him because of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Renee and Sons:
Lyn-Marie called me today and told me of Steve's passing in January. I am so sorry to hear that. I have fond memories of Steve back in our school days and when you babysat Dougie when you lived in Mt. Pleasant. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Kay LaBelle (Stuart, FL)

Renee, Jolan, Paul and Gregory...I just learned that my beautiful friend, Steve, has been laid to rest. Steve was one of my best friends, he was my director at Good Sam in West Palm Beach and mentored me throughout my career and was most proud of my achieving senior management at an area hospital. His achievement!

He recently had been supporting me through my daughter's cancer diagnosis, all in the midst of his plans to travel to Asia with Renee. Throughout the decades of friendship I learned all about your accomplishments-he was so proud of his family--the center of his core and being.

I am comforted that you have kept his Facebook page open, I can revisit what his most recent delights were--of course, his family, his home and cooking. I will miss him terribly, but I will never forget him. Lee Jones

Dear Renee:

I saw Lori Knarr at a meeting in Denver a few weeks ago and she told me the news about Steve. Stacy and I are heartbroken. I am so sorry that we didn't know earlier...I will always remember fondly the good times that we had at your house and how welcome you made us feel to Tallahassee when we first arrived there. Please call us sometime...we would love to catch up with you.
