Wanda “Sue” Smith, 69, went to be with her Lord on Monday April 12th, 2021. Sue was born in Monroeville, Alabama in 1951, to Ethel and George Daniels. Sue and her family moved to and resided in Pensacola where she would then grow up. She graduated from Escambia High School in 1969 and attended Pensacola Junior College. Shortly after she was finished attending college, Sue and her immediate family picked up and moved to Tallahassee, Florida where she would then reside for the rest of her life.
Sue developed a great love for Tallahassee and all that was within the town. Both Sue and her husband Lomax, shared a huge passion for Florida State University and FSU athletics as they cheered the Seminoles on at every game (home or away). They were proud members of the FSU boosters where they held their Golden Chief titles.
Sue was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her heart was completely consumed with the love that she held for her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her absolute greatest passion. Simply being in the presence of her loved ones brought her the greatest amount of pure bliss.
Sue was a longtime business woman whom embarked on numerous business titles from accounting to the construction business. Her and her husband ran multiple businesses throughout the community. One being a trucking company, “Nova Materials”. Another as well as the most recent business adventure was sharing ownership in a marina (The Moorings at Carrabelle), with a close friend.
Sue is preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Lomax Smith; Her parents, Ethel and George Daniels; Siblings, Theresa, James and JB; Grandson, Grant Woodham; son-in-law Nick DiLuzio; brother-in-law, Ronnie Smith; and nephew Bo Walker.
Sue is survived by her children, Lisa Ghazvini (Pete), Lorie DiLuzio and Blithe Woodham; Her grandchildren, Kailey Lewis (Casey), Zachary Ghazvini, Corey Ghazvini, Kaitlin Jahn (Garrett & Children), Kyle DiLuzio (Abby) and Shane Woodham (Erica); Great-grandchildren, Carter Lewis, Capri Lewis and Waylon Woodham; Sister-in-law, Jane Phillips; Brother-in-law, Rodger Smith (Paula); Sue is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Funeral service is to be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park (700 Timberlane Road Tallahassee, FL 32312) at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 with a Graveside service and reception to follow.
