I went to high school with Thais at St. Joseph's Academy.  After all these years, I still remember her smile, her laugh and her sincere effort to master the English Language.  Most of all I remember her positive energy and loving spirit.  I was lucky enough to reconnect with her within the last year..there must have been a divine plan for that!  My thoughts are with her family.  A beautiful rose now grows on the other side of the garden wall.

Thais, I'm glad I had an opportunity to meet you. You were an inspiration to me. You will truly be missed. I can truly say that I have met one of God's angels. Now that you are in heaven, I know you will continue to watch over your family and friends.

Thais and I, and my granddaughter enjoyed many weekends at various events around Tallahassee.  She had such a beautiful and loving spirit.  She taught me how to be truly brave in the face of illness.  I admired her courage and her fight.  My prayers are with her family and all who loved her.  I sure did - as a friend and a coworker.

Thais was a beautiful soul that I feel privileged know. Her smile would light up the room. She was so down to earth and would always look at the positive side of things and put them in perspective. Her sense of humor along with her smile will be greatly missed. She's one of Gods angels that he shared with us for a brief time, but we'll see each other again one day. My sympathies to her family.

Thais and I watched each others' families grow during our 20+ years at WB. I was her co-worker, her boss, her teacher and her friend. Whenever I think of Thais, I will smile. We discussed Venezuelan politics; she loved to dance; she couldn't say "sheet music" without laughing; she had strong opinions; I corrected her English, she corrected my Spanish; she put her son first; she ate her cereal with coffee; she loved my cookies; she called Ken "flaco;" she had nicknames for people in the office; she was a hard worker; she had faith. Our paths remained entwined after WB. She and my daughter lived in the same complex in Tallahassee so I was fortunate to be able to visit with her there. I will remember her fondly and with a smile on my face.

I loved Thais as if she were my sister and will miss her infectious laugh, ready smile and wry humor. Those of us who knew her are much the richer for it!

You were like another mother, to me, Thais. I'll always remember Sunday brunches and getting to spend time with you every time I came to visit Sergio. Your energy and sense of humor always made my spirits rise. I'll remember you always

Such a wonderful woman.  You and Sergio were blessed to have had each other.  You are definitely on my list of people I'd like to see on the other side.  Your memory will continue to be a blessing to me.

I enjoyed the special pastries that she shared with us from Miami and our conversations about many topics.  Also, I will never forget her excellent driving skills on one of our business trips. I met Thais one night when Sonia and I took her out to the Faith Radio Anniversary. She was preety, calmed, happy, with a genuine beautiful smile. No body would have known she was fithing cancer. The same smile, calm and peace was exibited the two times I played piano for her at the hospital. Somebody stated "she was humble ,sweet warrior here on earth" I am sure I was playing piano to a warrior that was ready to rest in peace and meet God in heaven. Thais, I will play piano for you in heaven when we meet again.

I met you in the last two or three months of your life here on earth. But, that short period of time was enough for God to teach me great life lessons through you. And I am so thankful to God for your life. It was easy to love you, to pray with you and for you, to read the Bible to you and dream together about what our God has already prepared for all those who believe in His unfailing love and in the redemption of our souls through Jesus Christ's sacrifice. Whether through death or because Jesus returns for His Church, I know we will resume our conversations, this time on the other side of heaven, where there is no more pain, no more tears, no need of sunlight because the majestic glory of God is all the light we will forever need. . . Well, you are already enjoying His presence and love! But, I have the feeling we will see each other before long, because Jesus is coming soon!
It is my prayer that this certainty of heaven and eternal life with God brings comfort to the hearts of Thais' family.

To Thais Family and Friends:  Thais, what a sweet, dear lady. We at DOEA will surely miss her bright smile and loving ways. Thais' joy and gusto for life inspired all who knew her. 

I know it seems odd to think this way, but I am glad she worked here through her battle with the ails of her body- for it gave us all a chance to support and encourage her. I feel we were all privileged to have witnessed her astounding bravery and undaunted enthusiasm during those times, and I am humbled by having had the opportunity to know such a woman. 

She shall live forever in our loving memory.

Thais, I will always remember your smile, warm words, and cheerfulness. I am so glad to have met you. You were always quick to offer a lending hand, and I appreciate that. You are now in a more peaceful place. You will be deeply missed.

Thais was an inspiration to many and she was the epitome of strength and courage.  She was a friend, a colleague and a tremendous gift from God that will be forever cherished.

Thais, you were (and are) an inspiration to all who knew you.  You, your sweet smile, and amazing attitude will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to your family.

Heaven received another bearutiful angel on December 28, 2012.  You were a wonderul person and friend, and there will always be a special place in my heart for you. No matter how bad you were feeling, you always had a kind word to say, thought of others, and put others before your own self.  I will always charish the time we had with you, and will NEVER forget that beautiful smile.  You will be missed here at DOEA, as well as on this earth by the may lives you touched and had an impact on.  I love you my friend!

The words inspiration and strength do not even begin to describe Thais but since words will never do her justice I suppose that those will have to do. Her life was one of the biggest testimonies I've ever heard and her faith, determination as well as her dedication to our lord and savior (not to mention her genuine kindness) are what forever will keep her in my heart. I'm so happy she's finally in a place with no pain and resting peacefully with the thing she loved mos in the world, God. I will always see Thais Yanes as more than a survivor, she was a humble, sweet warrior here on a mission and its safe to say she accomplished it and is now being rewarded in His prescense. Thais, I am really thankful to Our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave me the opportunity to meet you, know you and serve you as a friend, co-worker and sister in Christ. You were an example to me.
