Theresa Dobbs Cooper

She was born April 2, 1929 in Brownville, Ala. In addition to being a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver, she also worked for the Division of Spinal Cord Injuries for the State of Florida. She retired from the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in 1997.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home-Timberlane Road Chapel. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Fl. 32308.

Survivors include her son Barry and wife Zoe, daughter-in-law Cheryl and husband Joe; three grandchildren, Lance, Kevin, and Sydney. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by sons, Tony and Terry, and brother, Henry Alan Dobbs (Uncle Sonny).

The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, The Big Bend Hospice House and Woodmont Assisted Living Center for the care she received.
