
Tom was born in Quincy, Florida, to the late Marvin and Madge Johnson. He served in the United States Air Force before attending the University of West Florida where he received a degree in accounting . He was an active member of the Gadsden County Historical Society and had a lifelong appreciation for history. Known as “Tommy” to his cousins and “Tom” to many others, he found joy in the simple things in life and never needed much to be happy. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with his dog, Venus, and making memories with his family. Whether he was playing a game of cribbage, working on a puzzle, or spending a day at the beach with those he loved, those were the moments he cherished most.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Johnson (Jessica); his daughter, Jocelyn Kellogg (Carter); his two beloved grandchildren; his brothers, Michael “Mike” Johnson (Cynthia) and William “Bill” Johnson (Kathrine); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive guest with a catered lunch at Culley’s Funeral Home onMonday June 27th from 1:00 to 3:00.
