

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 901 Thomasville Road, with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Tom was a sixth generation Tallahassean, born on September 23, 1932. He graduated from Leon High School in 1950 and Florida State University in 1955, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He was a founding member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Tom retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Air Medal, among other awards. Following retirement, he was a certified public accountant for another 23 years. He was a partner with Skelton, von Goeben, Bryant, Perkins & Bryant, P.A. He was a member of the Tallahassee Retired Officers Association, Exchange Club, Colonels Club, Beachcombers, and Town Club.
Tom was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lynn, his parents Thomas Eugene Perkins, Jr. and Betty Cochran Perkins, and son-in-law Jim Breen.
He is survived by his daughters Lynda Cay Breen, Betsy Johansen (Benny), and Kathy Miller (DeWitt), all of Tallahassee; grandson Trey Johansen of St. Augustine; granddaughters Leighton Johansen Pate (Jamie), of Pensacola, Arden Miller of Tampa, and Cameron Miller of Tallahassee; sister Tanny Perkins Buford (Jack) of Tallahassee; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Big Bend Hospice, or your favorite charity.
