Tennessee. He spent his early years playing with friends in the wooded hills behind his home,
and continued to enjoy nature and the outdoors until he died in Tallahassee on June 18, 2020.
In his early adolescence, Tim moved with his father to Miami, Florida, and later to Tallahassee to
attend Florida State University under scholarship with the Southern Scholarship Foundation.
Mathematics was the academic discipline that Tim loved, and he went on to earn a Ph.D. in
mathematics from FSU in 1979. Following graduation, Tim accepted a faculty position teaching math at Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama. Tim later returned once more to Tallahassee to accept a faculty position at Tallahassee Community College where he continued to teach until retiring in 2012.
Students called Dr. Morrison patient and kind, and he was. Tim valued his friends, and had a
knack for noticing the good in others. He loved his cat, baseball and had a special passion for
tennis. He was dedicated to his faith, and worshiped at First Presbyterian Church.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, mother and sister.
Gifts may be made in his honor to Southern Scholarship Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank or First Presbyterian Church.
A small graveside service is planned.
