Born in Shelbyville, Indiana on March 2nd, 1918, Viola was a long-time resident of the area. A graduate of the Florida State University School of Business, she was an active member of the business community as a contractor and real estate broker.
She is survived by 4 children - Stephen, James, David and Sue Ellen - as well as 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26th, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel, 700 Timberlane Road, with entombment to follow in MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. untill the service hour.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in her memory to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308-5428.
The family also wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Broadview Assisted Living, Tallahassee Memory Care, Big Bend Hospice and its Music Therapy Department.
