Vivian Thomas Nash died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the care of Covenant Hospice, in Panama City, FL. Born on February 5, 1932 in Bennettsville, S.C., she was the youngest daughter of Sam and Grace Thomas. In 1951, she married her high school sweetheart, Danny Nash, and they moved to Atlanta where Vivian worked with, and Dan graduated from Georgia Tech. Over the years,
they would set up home in Louisiana, Texas, California, Alaska and Colorado as Dan pursued his engineering career.
She was a long-time resident of Tallahassee, having moved in retirement years to be with
family. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cared about her family most of all. Vivian means "lively" in Latin, and that she was. She loved socializing and shopping with friends
and family, classic movies and had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. She is survived by daughter Carol Carnley (Billy) of Crawfordville, FL; son Steven Nash (Jennifer) of Denver, CO; and four grandchildren, Isabel Nash (Denver, CO), Jacob Nash (Lafayette, LA), Nathan Carnley (Columbus, GA), and Morgan Carnley (Durham, NC).
