Wade Ryan Shapiro, age 43, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. Wade was a founding partner of Legacy Insurance Solutions, LLC along with his brother, Brandt, where he made it a priority to help serve his community. He was a member of the Tallahassee Sunset Rotary, while also being heavily involved in other local civic and charitable organizations. He never met a stranger, especially if they held the same interests as he did. Wade was an avid car fanatic and collector (of many things). He was and always will be a passionate Florida Gator fan and booster, to the chagrin of many of his close Seminole friends. Both of these loves started at a very young age for Wade, and those that knew him knew how strong his passion was for these pastimes.
Wade is survived by his parents, Howard and Susan, his brother, Brandt, sister-in-law, Kendall, and his beloved collie, Riley.
The family has been overwhelmed by the love, support and care all of his friends and colleagues have provided to him throughout his journey. They are truly special and will be cherished.
In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held. We ask, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his name to either UF Health’s Glioblastoma Fund or Big Bend Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
