Walter Bruce Connors Sr.

Walter “Bruce” Connors, Sr. of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 79. Bruce was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on December 18, 1943, to William Gerald Connors, Sr. and Marjorie Cooper Connors. He was the second oldest of six kids.

Bruce graduated from Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1961 and obtained a business degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, in 1967. He was a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Chartered Life Underwriter, and he was past president of the Estate Planning Council and Spina Bifida of Jacksonville. He was also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bruce loved playing golf, tennis and was an avid fisherman.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William Gerald Connors, Jr. and Lt. Woodrow Michael Connors; his sisters, Patricia Ann Connors and Linda Connors Carmody. He is survived by his children Walter Bruce Connors, Jr. and Amy Connors Seamon (Joe); grandchildren Joseph Connor Seamon and Jacob Ryan Seamon; his sister, Marilynn Connors McMurry (Larry); including several nephews and cousins.
