Mr. Hatton was born in Philadelphia, PA and spent most of his early years in New Jersey.
Walter became a high school English and Film Studies teacher at Matawan and Cedar Ridge High Schools in New Jersey until his retirement twenty years ago.
Walter was a loving husband to his wife, Margaret Hatton and 3 children, Brooks Hatton, Tracy Hatton McKinless (Tallahassee) and Corey Tisch (Houston, Texas). He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Ryan, Casey and Kevin McKinless and Stephen and Jason Tisch.
In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee.
