Dearest Millie, All of the Olneys were heartsick to learn of Reed's passing. His obituary was in the Pensacola paper the same day as Dick, Jr.'s. I wish I could be there with you today in Tallahassee, but please know that we are with you in our thoughts & prayers, just as we know you were with us last Thursday as we said farewell to Dick, Jr. I'm confident that Dick & Reed have together "ankled up" to Momma & Bev and have all been enjoying a few ho-hos and some snicker snacks together (incl. an artichoke with "Millie's Curry Dip"), along with a host of other friends & characters, including our old Pensacola Beach neighbor, Gene Freeman. Daddy has a card he has asked me to send to you which I will get out today. Love to you & Mark! Hope to see you when we are next in Tallahassee. Trisha

Millie, Mark and family our deepest sympathy. Reed was my Godfather and was so good at keeping in touch with family and friends. I spoke with him just before he left for Tallahassee and he was so looking forward to seeing his Mom. Leaving this world especially when you know you have limited time would seem scary to most but when I spoke to Reed he seemed at peace with his life, he was looking forward to eating his favorite foods, going to his favorite casino in Vegas and going home to his family. He was able to do it all thanks to his brother Mark. I so appreciated his beautiful photography, he had a gift.

Love you Reed, Christine and Doug

Our sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to the Canning family over the loss of Reed. He had an indomitable up-beat and positive outlook on life. At his invitation, Reed was a self appointed guide on our trip to Utah several years ago. He graciously led us to one fascinating place after another with much commentary, wit and enthusiasm. Reed will be missed. He lives in the spirit and in our hearts.
