William Les Finch

The youngest of ten siblings, he was born in Holmes County, Florida on March 1, 1936, to John Leslie Finch and Elizabeth Chesnut Finch, of blessed memory. In Heaven, he also now joins his wife, Robbie Avant Finch; son, William DeWayne Finch; and siblings, Calvin Columbus Finch (wife, Doris), John Leonard Finch (wife, Lois), Ira Clarence Finch (wife, Dorothy), Nolan Julious Finch (wife, Edna Ruth), Lambert Louis Finch (wife, Nettie Ruth), Lawrence A. Finch (wife, Juanita), Annie Lois King (husband, Colon), Lincoln Lee Finch and Lowell McKinney Finch (wife, Carolyn).

He is survived by his children, Robin Cartright (husband, Chris), Jennifer Hudspeth (husband, Matt) and Marlon Joe Finch (wife, Debra); nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sarah Margaret Finch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was an officer with the US Forestry Service, and in his spare time, enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, gardening, building and watching football on TV with his daughter.

Visitation is from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Abbey Funeral Home. The graveside service is 11:00 AM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
