
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, EST, Monday, February 21 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday at the Timberlane Chapel with interment to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
He was born November 4, 1921, the only child of Russell L. and Vera Ann Parsons Ritchie in Litchfield, Ill. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1939. He worked for Western Electric in St. Louis and part time at the Western Auto Store in Litchfield. He was in the Army Air Force during WWII in Africa, Italy, France and Germany from 1943 until 1946. On May 3, 1946 he married Marjorie L. Boedecker at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. They owned and operated Ritchie's Sinclair station for several years, later going to work for Litchfield Creamery - Milnot Company. Retiring in 1984 he moved to Tallahassee to have fun with grandchildren, Great Fun!! He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Marjorie, three sons, Glen Ritchie of Tallahassee, Ray Ritchie (Linda) of Manteo, NC, and Martin Ritchie (Diane) of Monticello,FL; three grandchildren Jason Ritchie (Kim) and Sarah Tomblin (Dan) all of Tallahassee and Andre` Ritchie of Socorro, NM; five great-grandchildren Tyler, Parker and Preston Ritchie, Brianna and Nathan Tomblin. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Ryan Ritchie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL.
