Mr. Wannall was born in Washington, D.C. and was a World War II Navy Veteran. After more than 40 years of service to the Federal Government, he retired as Sergeant at Arms for the United States Senate.
Survivors include two sons, William H. Wannall, Jr. (wife, Wanda) and Gary Wannall (wife, Nancy); three grandsons, William H. Wannall III, Wayne Q. Wannall and Ryan G. Edwards; three step-grandsons, Michael P. Fore, Daniel A. Fore and Jordan G. Fore; and one great grandson, Blake E. Fore.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
