Dr. Devine was both a friend to us and an excellent dentist to my husband. We met him through Gene Gormley. Every Sat. we met in the parking lot of Holy Family Church and brought each other up to date on our goings-on. He was a kind and considerate person and always seemed in a jovial mood. When he left New Rochelle, we missed our Sat. meetings and I know he will be missed by all who knew him. The Gormley Family is deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our dear friend, Elly. He was a great friend and colleague to Gene and the two enjoyed talking about dentistry, family and happenings on the golf course.  We also loved traveling with Elly and Sam to Rome when our Steve was ordained.  Our sympathy and affection to Jean and all the family.

Susy and I want to wish our condolences, and prayers that you can get through the hard times by remembering the great times.  When our son was heavily into "mini-hockey", and I had to head to the basement to quiet things down - I'd have these chilling flashbacks to Doc's late night visits to the basement "rink". Our son, Calvin, escaped many repercussions due to these happy memories.  I always have had a great amount of love and respect for Doc.
