Eva was born on April 13th, 1931 to George Blair and Christoria Smith. Life took an unfortunate turn when her mother passed away at a young age, but God had His hand on her life.
On March 2nd, 1957, she married her lifelong companion, Denys Sealy, and had two children, Upton and Ruth.
She devoted her life in service to Jesus Christ in her twenties and much can be said about the testimony of faithfulness she left behind: In 1976, Eva was appointed Leader at a newly planted church called Galina New Testament Church of God, under the late Pastor L.N. Porter of Oracabessa New Testament Church of God. In 1984, she migrated to the United States and joined the West Broward Church of God under the leadership of the late Pastor Davidson to continue her service to the Lord. In 1994, Eva was planted at the Unity New Testament Church of God under the leadership of Bishop M A Coulson and served there until her final days. On April 12th, 2016 the City of Lauderdale Lakes honored Eva by awarding her the Seal of the City for Community Service to Lauderdale Lakes and the Church.
Alongside her spiritual sons and daughters, Eva is survived by her husband, Denys; children Upton, his wife Jennifer, and Ruth; sister Delrose Freeman; Grandchildren Mikhail, his wife Nicole, Lasanya, Terrick, Leann, her husband Carl, Shaeliah and Faith; great grandchildren, Michelle, Josiah, Joshua, Jenea, Hannah and soon to be born baby Collins.
If we could think of one thing that Eva may be saying now, we, the family, believe she would say “I’m where I’ve always wanted to be.”
May her soul rest in peace.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.baileymemorial.com for the Sealy family.
