George McKenzie Barrows, was born on July 20th, 1935 in the district of Long Road in the parish of St. Mary, the youngest of three (3) children and the only male child of James Alexander Barrows and Adina Victoria Barrows.
His education began at the Long Road Elementary School in St. Mary and continued onto the Dinthill Practical Training Center in St. Catherine.
He professional career began with his employment with the United Estates in St. Catherine, Jamaica Omnibus Services, the Rural Agricultural Development Authority, the Jamaica Agricultural Society and Home Depot.
George will truly be missed my his wife Gloria, his children Gary Barrows, Orville Barrows, Patricia Barrows-Collins and Stacey Burnache, Step-children Chairmane Green, Andrea Brown-Morris, Novine Henry; Grand-Children, Toni-Ann Johnson, Michael Johnson, Danielle Collins, Ramone Collins, McKenzie Henry, Mario Beecher, Asti Burnache, Kevauighn Morris and Talia Morris. In-Laws Steve Burnache, Shelly-Ann Barrows, Ricardo Collins and many other family and friends.
