Hazel Loretta Fulton, a beacon of love, strength, and grace, entered eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 71. Free from suffering, she leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and unwavering kindness.
Born on October 11, 1954, in the small town of Kingstree, South Carolina, Hazel was the third of five daughters. From the very beginning, her life reflected grace and compassion. Greater Bethel A.M.E.Church served as the foundation of her spiritual journey, where she was baptized at a young age and nurtured a faith that guided her throughout her life.
Hazel graduated from Kingstree High School where she met the love of her life, David Lee Fulton better known as Monty. Together, they shared 52 beautiful years of marriage—a union marked by devotion, hospitality, and joy. Their home was a haven where family and friends gathered for holidays, feasts, and laughter. Hazel had a gift for listening without judgment and offering gentle wisdom. She preferred to stay in the background, ensuring every detail was perfect. Hazel and Monty expressed love through action, whether by offering a warm meal or a place to stay. No one ever left their home without feeling cherished.
Professionally, Hazel dedicated over 30 years of service to Edward Don and Company. She held many roles throughout her career, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues who became extended family. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to lead with empathy made her a trusted mentor and an inspiration to all who worked alongside her.
Hazel is preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Louise Green and two sisters Sandra Bradley and Leslie Palmer, sister law Barbara A. Fulton, brother in law Clarence Matthews, great-niece Meliah Elyza Symister.
Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 52 years David Lee Fulton, three bonus sons Michael Green, Gregory Green and Jefferson Brown Jr. Two sisters Debra “Shanda” Northe (Robbie) and Pamela Matthews. In-laws Nancy Fulton, Carolyn (Jerome) Pompey, Mary A. Fulton, Bernard(Vivian) Fulton and host of nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
