

Jacquelin or “DouDou” as he was affectionately known was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on September 17, 1948. He went to Frere Instruction Chretienne from grades 9-12, from grade 12+ he attended Lycee Philippe Guerrier Cap-Haitien and he came to the United States and moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1970.
DouDou was married to Claudette Jean-Pierre on September 1st, 1972. They were happily married for 48 years. They had two children, Tania Stuart and Cassandra Jean-Pierre.
DouDou worked as a Bus Driver for New York City Transit Authority for 7 years and moved to South Florida in 1991 and worked for Miami-Dade Transit for 14 years.
DouDou was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his one and only grandson Cristian. He enjoyed music especially Jazz and Haitian Music, taking long walks and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects around the house. He was a devoted Catholic. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
DouDou is survived by his wife, Claudette Jean-Pierre, grandson Cristian Clark, Daughters, Tania Stuart and Cassandra Jean-Pierre, son-in-law Anson Stuart, sisters Marie-Jose Metellus, Jeannette Monfiston, Nicole Monestime, nieces and nephews, Lisa Metellus-Hood, Sabrina Florvil, Sabine Haynes, Fritz Gerard Metellus Jr., Andrew Florvil and Kimberly Louis, and other beloved family and friends.
DouDou is preceded in death by Father, Andre Jean-Pierre and Mother, Louise Jean-Pierre.
