On my mind 🫂 I hope you’re proud of me.

I miss you dearly. I viewed you as my  mother. You’ve been in my life since I was a baby, you’ve been on my conscious lately and I’m still saddened that a piece of my life was taken away from me. Once I found out you were a teacher at Coral Springs Middle my heart jumped with joy because I knew that I could go to you and just talk. And I remember before you left this earth You hugged me and said I love you baby, I’m going home to get some sleep.  And since that day I have not been the same. I love you Mommy please visit me in my dreams. I need you during this difficult time.

I know this is a late statement but many of us, friends from Southridge High School, didn't find out until much later,  To her family
I lost my own sister just 4 days after Lynne passed so I know and feel the grief. Although time, years and seconds have passed I always think of Melanie aka Pumpkin.  I do hope the time that has gone by has been a little more comforting for you.  Lynne is still around you and watching over you. She is now a real Angel. I hope that gives you comfort.

I just found out yesterday that Lynne passed! We were childhood Best Friends and lost touch over the last 4 or 5 years. 
I am hoping this is seen by her father, step father and brother - I am so sorry for your lose!
The years came and went but you all were not far from my thoughts.

I only knew her for a short 4 months on team 630, but she was the best teacher I have ever had and she truly connected with everyone. July 16, 2013 I miss my niece so much, it seems to feel worse now more than ever. This loss is a big one, and now that i am writing I feel speechless.

She was my favorite sixth grade teacher two years ago, I looked forward to going to her class every day--and with good reason. She talked to us like equals while at the same time keeping order. She was there for me if ever I needed her and she saw the very best in me. God took away an angel of a teacher and an extremely decent human being. I'm so sad that it took two months for me to find out and that I'll never be able to keep the promise I made to her to come back to the school I fled and visit her. R.I.P. Ms. Owen, you left too soon. Love Marty.

Thinking of Lynne today.  Can't believe we never got together like we said we wanted to so many times before. Will miss not being able to see her again. My prayers go out to those that love her.  I can't imagine how hard it must be. So sad for all of us, hoping she is at peace.

Lynne meant the world to me and I will miss my sister with all my soul.  She was a hero, she made a difference.

I had Ms. Owen last year in 2011-2012 an she was my favorite teacher. She always tried hard to make us happy and taught world history so perfectly. She was a great history teacher and her passing will leave a dent in my heart.

I was blessed to have known "lynne-penny"  for 28 years. we lived together in Miami before I moved to CA and she was Godmother to my daughter. I was lucky enough to get to see Lynne in June with my daughter and we spent the whole weekend together with lots and lots of laughs along with a trip to Key West like old times. she was a dear friend, a good soul and a very funny lady. I will miss her so much

I taught with Lynne at Sunrise & Lauderhill Middle. We were team members. She was fantastic!  Full of energy and great ideas. She cared about her students and wanted the best for each and every one of them. Lynne, you lived your "dash" well 1963 - 2012 and your ripple effect will be felt for many years to come. You will be missed.

We will all miss your smiling face so much!

Ms. Owen was one of my sons all time favorite teachers! She was amazing! We were blessed to have have her in our lives. She made a huge difference in so many lives. We will be praying for her family and friends.

Lynne was a dedicated professional & a wonderful person.  I am deeply saddened by her passing.

Ms.Owen was surely one of my favorite teachers. She always had a smile on her face and something funny to say, that would make anyone's bad day be gone, like that. She was the best Social Studies teacher I have ever had. I am sure she has touched more than a few student hearts and she will be deeply missed by all of her students.

Ms. Owen was a wonderful person and especially an amazing teacher. She was kind to all. She will be forever in our hearts and prayers.

Lynne was like my little sister,she touched so many lives.Your work here on earth will never be forgotten.I will never forget you Lynne.

My son, Nick, had Ms. Owen last year and he absolutely adored her!  She made learning fun for the kids and made History class so entertaining.  I'll always remember what a kind person she was and how she really put the kids' best interests first.  She was a wonderful person and will be truly missed.

Both of my children had Ms. Owen as their teacher, and loved her. She was a truly phenomenal teacher, and a wonderful person, and we will greatly miss her.

Lynne Owen was an exceptional woman and an amazing teacher.  In the words of my 12 year old daughter (who had Mrs. Owen last year), she treated every student with respect and understanding.  Lynne impacted so many children.  My daughter was very close to her, they formed a special relationship, one that will be treasured by my daughter for many years to come.  We will miss you Lynne ~ I know that you are with the angels!  Thank you!

Lynne Owen had so many traits that I envied and tried to mimic.  She was inspiring and motivating and believed that everyone could do the things they wanted to do if they worked hard at it.  She always seemed to find the fun side of even the most mundane tasks and if she couldn't find it, she'd create it out of thin air.  I know she'd be rolling her eyes at my corny-ness, but she'd understand how sad I am to see her go.  She called me Mini-me and I loved the fact that she thought enough of me to make that comparison.  My sympathy goes out to her family and friendsâ€¦she will always have a place in my heart and I will miss her always.

Ms. Owen touched the lives of so many - including my daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with the many people in our community who love and miss her. My God's peace touch each one who mourns her.

Ms. Owen was the teacher that i always would walk in to the door and see. I can barely imangine her dead. I know that see gave me a hard time but it was only to make me suceeded in greatness.Ms. Owen was such a fantastic teacher it is only so hard to walk in to her classroom and see the jean jacket laying in that chair. It is only so hard to belive that we have to learn 3000 years of history in only one year. That was only the real period I enjoyed going to. It is only so hardto see a great, fun, and inspiring teacher go away. But it was god's calling not mine. The only thing i can  say is that she is in a better place now.

It is hard to image such a talented good person as Lynne take at such a young age. I can only thing that  God must have really needed her.  All our prayers and love are with her family during this very difficult time.  She will be deeply missed all who knew her.

Ms.Owen was such a fantastic teacher! We all miss her so much! My thoughts are with her family and friends. I will always remember the wonderful person she was.
