Born on December 6, 1928, to Antoine Derosia and Pierre-Sina Pierre, Marguerite Derosia (Margo, as those who knew her often called her) was the eldest of eight children. Two brothers and six sisters.
On June 3, 1948, Marguerite married Anest Cadet, beginning a marriage built on faith, love, dedication, and mutual respect. Together they raised five children and created a family legacy that continues to flourish through future generations. Marguerite grew up in a family of eight. As the oldest of six sisters, she embraced that role with strength, compassion, and grace. She sacrificed a great deal to ensure they were taken care of, serving as a role model and someone they can all look up to in their daily lives. Throughout her life, she demonstrated unwavering devotion to her family, a generous spirit, and a quiet resilience that inspired all who knew her. She became the family matriarch.
A woman of deep faith, Marguerite trusted God throughout her life's journey. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort, guiding her through both joyful and challenging times. She believed in the power of prayer, the importance of family, and the value of treating others with kindness, dignity, and compassion. Her words and the way she lived and cared for those around her reflected her deep faith. She was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Community from the beginning until the end of her journey.
Those who knew Marguerite will remember her warm smile, gentle wisdom, and unwavering love for her family. Whether gathered around the table sharing meals, celebrating family milestones, offering words of encouragement, or welcoming loved ones into her home, she created memories that will be treasured forever. Her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends will always remember her loving presence, her caring heart, and the joy she found in bringing her family together.
An exceptional woman who worked tirelessly and unselfishly to provide for her children even in the worst of time and show the way to others to follow. Her legacy will be hard to replicate.
