Marie Paule was born on May 17, 1944, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She was the daughter of Maurice Laraque and Carmen Wainwright. She excelled in her studies and became a registered nurse in 1970. She practiced in Haiti, New York, and Florida. As a young nurse in New York, she fought for the rights of nurses and helped to create a trade union at her workplace. Marie Paule was a beautiful woman who was loved and will always be cherished. At heart, she was an artist, a lover of sculptures, and a lover of fashion. She was a lover of life, enjoying good food, good conversations, and the company of others, especially with her brothers and sisters in Christ while sharing the Gospel of Jesus.
Marie Paule leaves to treasure her memories and to meet with her again: her beloved daughters, Natacha and Melissa; her sister, Maud; her nephews, Guy, Alex, David; her aunt, Laura; and her cousins, Jean-Robert, Yves, Ghislaine, and Gladys, close family, and Friends.
