It is thru her desire to help did she subsequently adopt 2 young girls, Carol and Marese from Haiti. She offered them love, strong will and tough love, which they will cherish for generations.
Upon establishing herself in NY working as a Domestic Aid, she was able to assist countless other family that were still in Haiti. She worked diligently in conjunction with her sister to bring her sisters, nieces, nephews and other family members to the United States and help them build a better life. As a devoted Catholic and all around good person, she had great family and friends that supported and loved her. Her family was her pride and joy.
If you know Mariese, you are very familiar with her pride of self, confidence and beauty that continued to shine everywhere she went. She commanded attention and affection from those around her, in which she gladly received. She was the last of her siblings to pass, demonstrating her fighting and enormous spirit.
Mariese moved to Palm Bay in 1999 with her sister, Humaine and quickly developed an enormous bond with friends, church members, and family. She prided in both New York and Florida in her church, choir, senior community and Haitian communities. She leaves behind her daughters, neices, nephews, great-neices/nephews, long time friends and unmentionable family members.
