Marva Melendo Richards

Marva Richards was born on September 24th, 1956 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, to Leo Richards and Beulah Chambers. She is survived by her two daughters Keisha and Leneisha, son Matthew, grandchildren Tanya, Tatiana, Tori, Jourden, Madison and Jaiden, great granddaughter Amira, brother Andrew, sister Florence, son-in-law Garfield, brother-in-law Maxony, three nieces, two nephews, her dog Gucci, and many other family members and friends.

LOVE is a single word used to describe Marva. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was just an amazing human being. Marva loved cooking for her family and friends, and she never hesitate to prepare a meal for anyone. She was friendly, warm, and welcoming.

People naturally gravitated to her. She was a peacemaker with a pure heart. She spent her entire life giving whatever she could to any and everyone. Family was an extremely essential part of Marva’s life. She was always there for everyone. She would drop everything, day or night, to fulfill the needs of others. She was a hard worker and took pride in delivering the best care to her patients. She enjoyed watching and talking about basketball. She also enjoyed watching MSNBC and CNN.

Beautiful memories of our beloved, Marva, is indelibly etched into our hearts and minds, we will cherish them forever. She will be truly missed.

Marva Melendo Richards, age 64, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Marva was born September 24, 1956.

A funeral service for Marva will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bailey Memorial, 6701 West Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, FL 33319. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Bailey Memorial Cemetery, 7801 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
