

Millicent Pearlina Essor, affectionately known as “Mama Pearl” and “Miss Pearly,” was born on July 9, 1934, in the parish of, Hanover, Jamaica. She peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on May 30, 2026.
Mama Pearl was the beloved matriarch of the family, a pillar of strength, wisdom, faith, and unconditional love. She dedicated her life to nurturing her family, instilling strong values, and serving as a source of guidance and encouragement to generations. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, discipline, and care, and her presence brought comfort to all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her children: Paulette, Sandra, Errol, Sharon, Oral, Casville (Vill), Casbert (Berty) and her adopted son Demar Hewitt (Hucal) She was predeceased by her beloved son Danny.
She also leaves behind her cherished 36 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Mary, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate a life well lived and a legacy well established. Mama Pearl’s faith, strength, wisdom, and love will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.
