Muthsammy Ramasami

Muthsammy (Sammy) Ramasami was born in Berbice, Guyana, on May 24, 1948, to Ponamah Ramasami and Mr. Ramasami. He was the loving brother to siblings Tun Tun, Kunu, Aya, Chinama, Finey, and Arjune.

Affectionately known as “Lil Boy,” Sammy was a devoted child of God and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will always be remembered for his gentle and caring nature, big smile, sense of humor, dedication to family, and his love of fishing and cricket. He had a unique and remarkable gift for bonding with animals and people alike. He brought consistent warmth and joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Throughout his life, Sammy touched countless hearts with his generosity and selflessness. He believed in hard work, honesty, and always lending a helping hand to others. His laughter and stories and trademark big smile will be missed by all who knew him but his wisdom will be treasured for generations to come.

He is survived by his beloved wife: Padminie Ramasami; his daughters: Patricia Ramasami, Pamela Ramasami Tracy, Sharda Ramasami-Sankar, and Sandra Narine; his cherished grandsons: Dereck Sankar and Damian Sankar; and many other loving relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Sammy was a blessing and memories of moments shared with him will forever be treasured. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. His memory will forever be a light in our hearts, keeping his spirit alive for generations to come.
