Norma Kathryn Hunnicutt was born on June 21, 1939 in Manilla, Indiana, and passed away on August 12, 2025 at 5:40 PM, surrounded by love and family. She was a spitfire even into her final moments and will be sorely missed by all those she touched.
Known for her tenacious stubbornness, her wild child personality, and her impressive collection of knick-knacks that decorate her home, Norma will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We wouldn’t be surprised if she’s in heaven now, lighting up a smoke and loving up on all the animals she had throughout her life! Norma’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Scott Hunnicutt; her parents Kenneth and Josephine Bess; and her siblings Phyllis, Naomi, Howard, and Arthur.
Norma is survived by her daughter Susan; her grandchildren William, Michael (Marissa), Cassandra (Joshua), and Patricia; her great-grandchildren: Minnie, Mia, and Marshall; her beloved pup Leroy; and by many more friends, neighbors, and “honorary grandchildren.”
A Memorial Service will be held at Bailey Memorial on Thursday, August 21, 2025, and the family will receive visitors there at 1:00PM. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
