Great guy and pal, lived life to the fullest on his own terms. He lived the life he loved and loved the life he lived. He will be dearly missed by all. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences goes out to his great family which i was fortunate to be acquainted with.

I have known  Dougie thru his wife Paula for more than three decades when we worked together in Jamaica.  He was a true husband,  father and friend. He was an excellent guitarist who toured the world with the likes of Jimmy Cliff and Toots and the Maytals.  He will be missed by many.  He is gone, but not forgotten.  May his soul RIP and perpetual light shines upon him.

Rest in  peace my dear Dougie.  You will  always be remembered.

It was 1970s Dougie had just returned from touring brought back some Tanberg Stereo Equipment from Uk. We were living in Patrick City relaxing listening to some New Music from UK 3 pieces of Garbage walked into the House with Shotguns took the Equipments and our Money was scary but We came out alive although threatened with death. We made it My brother. You are safe at Home now not through violence but by natural causes. SIEP Musicman Your Music lives on 🙏🏽

Our Deepest Condolences to Ms Paula and all family members. Dougie will be thoroughly missed by us all, This man was highly respected throughout the musical fraternity home and abroad sharing his exceptional talents. His unique guitar style and sound contributed greatly to Reggae Music Globally. Rad and i first met at Treasure Isle Studio as session musicians decades ago…and have recorded  thousands of songs together in every studio existed in Jamaica over the years. This brother was one of the most Disciplined / prolific session musician i have ever met..and could come up with a chord progression for a song in a recording session at the drop of a hat… he loved his family to the max and a man of integrity he was indeed. Uncle Doggie, thank you for the music, thank you for the moments. Your riffs echoed hope. Your jokes echoed joy. Your love echoed in each of us. Even though we feel the weight of your absence, we hold tight to the legacy you left behind.

I was honored to play guitar alongside Dougie for many years, both as a member of Toots and The Maytals and in the studios in Jamaica. At the beginning of my career, Dougie was very helpful and encouraging, even going so far as to recommend me to producers for session work. He was always a joy to play with and a joy to be around. I am heartbroken over this. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans. We will miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of a great man. Please accept my sincere condolences. My thoughts are with the entire family during this difficult time.

In September of 1970 when I joined  the staff of Cable and Wireless was my first encounter with Radcliffe "Douggie "Bryan,  I found him to friendly, and a person of good character. His musical talent amazed me. May his soul RIP and light perpetually shine on him. To his family may you find comfort in the most happy memories  of a wonderful person.🙏🏿💞
