Born on August 31, 1930, in Hicksville, New York, Rita was the youngest of eleven siblings. She relocated to South Florida in 1996 to be closer to the family she cherished.
Rita was married to the love of her life, Tom Organ, for 73 years. Their bond was one of enduring partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. With Tom’s recent passing, Rita now reunites with him, continuing their love for each other.
A devoted mother to Tom, Pat, and Matt, and a proud grandmother to Katelin, Jennifer, Daniel, and Kordell, Rita’s legacy continues through their lives. She was also a beloved mother-in-law to Julie and Betsy.
Rita’s caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. As a registered nurse specializing in newborn care, she offered comfort, guidance, and healing to countless families. Her generosity and wisdom made her a trusted figure among extended relatives, with many cousins seeking her help with newborns or reaching out for her advice.
Whether cheering at her sons’ sporting events or engaged in conversation with her grandchildren, Rita’s presence was constant and meaningful. She embodied strength, independence, and unconditional love.
Rita leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt, but also a profound sense of peace knowing she is reunited with her beloved Tom. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and the family she so loved.
