

For over 20 years, salera worked as a cab driver, a career that allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. He had a deep love for traveling, especially when it meant returning to his beloved homeland of Ayiti.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Augusta Louis, their eight children, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
In June 2022, Salera faced serious health challenges that required extended hospital stays, therapy, and ongoing medical treatment. After being discharged, he was lovingly cared for at home by his wife and children, whose devotion and strength surrounded him through his journey.
On August 24, 2025, Salera passed away peacefully with his wife by his side.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others. Salera believed in working hard and enjoying the fruits of one’s labor, values he instilled in his children. His character, teachings, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
