    To my baby brother and best friend, I always tried to do the best that I could to look out for you, now you will be my special angel, our special angel, and you will be watching over me and the rest of your loved ones. It is very difficult for us to accept that Sammy has passed away. You have all been in our thoughts and prayers throughout this last week. It was only 3 months ago that we had the wonderful pleasure of seeing all of you in Florida and having dinner together. I knew Sam growing up in Union City, NJ where we both attended Robert Waters elementary School. I later was reunited with him again when we both worked at Houlihan's Restaurant in Secaucus during the mid-late 80's.  Recently I came to find out that my wife's good friend Vivian Luglio was related to him by marriage. I then requested his number from her and had the opportunity to speak with him a few months ago. I will never forget my friend who lived life with such wonderful joy and laughter. I am greatly saddened by his passing but know as I write this that he is looking down upon me with that twinkle in his eye and that wonderful laughter saying "see you later Iber". I extend to you and your family my deepest condolences. Wishing you peace and joyful memories of your son SAMMY.

I met Sam when I was 14 or 15 in Jersey, and funny how you run in to people again in South Florida of all places!! I met SZm thru my brother JR and I always remember how much he made me smile!! Sam had a special laugh, like a funny "cackle" that made me crack up, I would request he do it! I think it was one of my favorite things about him, his laugh, it was catching!! I worked with Sammy at Message Network in the mid-'90s and he is someone I will never forget. Seeing him everyday made me smile. Even today, I laugh when I think of some of the funny things he would say--and he said them to make everyone happy. I will miss him.

It was a St Michael's carnival in 1976 that we became and remained friends. You remained a constant in my life. I can honestly say I do not know how to say goodbye. I can say I love you and I will miss you deeply.

Sammy was a ray of sunshine who could light up any room with his charismatic personality.  His undeniable charm, sensitivity and caring nature made him such a unique individual.  But it was his sense of incredible humor that I will miss the most.  Sammy brought an infinite amount of smiles to our faces and immeasurable joy to our hearts.  He was a genuine loving person who was, in turn, loved by many and will be missed by all.  My condolences to his family for the great losses they have suffered this year.
