Sha’maal Jaivaar Irving also known as “Mally” or “Smalls” was born on June 23,1996 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Demika Borkine and Jahmal Irving.
Sha’maal was full of life with an infectious smile that would light up a room. He loved being around family, friends, making jokes and playing with his little cousins.
Sha’maal was excited to start college at Dutchess Community College on August 26 majoring in Business Management. He was also an aspiring rapper who went by the stage name “Smalls Da Hitta”. He was a songwriter his whole life but only began to record songs in 2018. He loved to watch his friends and family listen to his music and would put on a performance where ever he was.
Sha’maal’s legacy will forever live on through his music.
Sha’maal is survived by his parents Demika Borkine & Jahmal Irving. His sisters Yazmin Irving (Elijah James Sr.), Y’monnie Irving and Queen Irving. His brothers Jahmal Irving Jr and Malik Irving. His grandmother Belinda Davis. His aunts Yanae Harrison (Tavares Johnson) and Tia Irving. His nephew Elijah “Ej” James Jr. Cousins Nysean “Smoov” Mallory, Tajah Johnson, Shanece Garrett, Javares Johnson, Jamae Higgs, Sebrina Gillion, Natiya Gillion and Dawud Gillion. Close friends Jamel “Wally” Washington, Akeily “Killz” Ferreira, Asaad “Saady” Culver and a host of family and friends.
