Aunt Jay and family: Saddened to hear about Shannon. It brought tears to my eyes. I haven't seen any of you in many years but I still remember and cherish the times Tim and I spent in your home. So much love was there. I pray for all of you that you can find comfort in each other. Shannon is in good hands with her father holding one hand and God holding the other. Love to all.

As the days go on I realize how much Shannon will be missed by so many people of San Pablo Parish. Her touch was in so many areas of our beautiful Church. She will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. When I see her smiling picture my heart smiles.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Shannon's sudden death. I met her many years ago (pre-marriage) when she worked at the Oakland Park VA Clinic and I knew her parents as well. I saw her last month for the first times in years. We ran into each other one day here in Broward County while she was with her mother. She was the same upbeat Shannon with that radiant smile and we recognized each other immediately. We reminisced about the old days at the Clinic and I brought her up to date on the comings and goings of her former co-workers. Of course she talked about her husband and beautiful girls. We parted with an embrace and I was really pleased to have seen her that day. And now she is gone. This is another "life is so short" lesson for all of us.
It is obvious Shannon touched many lives in so many positive ways. Please show your love and appreciation for Shannon by continuing to embrace her family. There is nothing like a mother's love. Her daughters' loss is tremendous. Reach out to those girls. Remain in touch. Always encourage and be there for them. Please let your love for Shannon live on through the support you continue to show her daughters and keep them all in your prayers.

I still remember playing basketball with Bill and the boys in Charlie and Jay's front driveway. A group of white boys dunking on an eight foot
basket. And, yes, after the other
guys bent the rim down from
dunking it was easier for me. What
great times we all had together. To
know one Conroy is to know them all. Truly a wonderful, strong family
full of faith. That is what makes this
tragedy so difficult, and it is what
will eventually pull them through
under unspeakable pain. May the Lord take you in his generous arms and ease your souls.
