Dear Seymour Family,
So sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing.  
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  
Sylvia always had a smile on her face and so she always made those around her smile.
She loved her family and was very proud of the girls.  She still had that sparkle for Russell. 

Diethra and our daughter Kristin were great friends.  We are so very sorry for your loss. 

Words are inadequate to describe how much you meant to me and to Dana especially. I’m so very grateful for the MANY memories we shared. Will always miss you but we take comfort in the fact that you’re resting in the Lord’s arms. Love always

There aren’t enough words in any language to express the sorrow I have for your loss. I love you all, and I will keep you all in my heart. There isn’t a summer that goes goes by that I don’t think of swimming in your backyard or a holiday party that I don’t think of the sorrel your mother made every year. Deerfield is the source of many fond memories.

I met Sylvia 52 years ago on the pre natal wing in Victoria hospital London Ontario.   Her patience, tolerance, kindness, and support during that most difficult time was next to none.  Six and a half months later she was one of the post natal nurses who became my friend, and my last daughter’s godmother.  Sylvia, you will always live in our hearts.  Rest in peace my dear until we meet again.  Erma

To The Seymour family, accept my condolences for the loss. Sylvia was like my big sister. She always opened her house and hosted my family and myself many many times. I have known Sylvia for over 15 years. We shared the love of chewing sugarcane together as we chatted away old stories about our families. Whenever I left she'll say " I'll see you when I see you".
We always compared notes on our kids as both our families have girls only.
Sylvia liked arranging stuff. Putting things away and then rearranging them. I  remember one time I helped them move from Delaware. When I arrived in FL at 1am, Sylvia and myself off loaded the truck until 7am. When brother Russell arrived around 8am, he was amazed. That was Sylvia. She wanted her stuff where it belonged. Those are the simple good memories she's left with me.
To the family, Joshua 1:9  will take you from here henceforth. Be blessed.

Sylvia is one of the reasons I am alive today.  She took such good care of my Mom when she was pregnant and in the hospital.  Then after I was born, Sylvia was the nurse that took care of Mom and me again.  Russel and Sylvia became very special friends of my parents.  We have a lifetime of fun memories of them and eventually their three girls they had and the fun our families enjoyed together.  This photo is of me and Russel and Sylvia and my little "Sylvia" doll when I was about two years old.


I visited the Seymour home in Florida when Alyssa and I lived together in Miami in 2010. Sylvia was beyond welcoming and so sweet! I loved seeing all the photos in the home and listening to their awesome accents. They were clearly so proud of Alyssa and what a wonderful nurse she had become! Sending hugs from Pennsylvania to Lys and the entire family.
