Originally from New York, Tom and his wife, Rita, recently married 73 years, retired to Florida in 1996 to be near their sons.
Tom was the proud loving father to three boys—Tom, Pat, and Matt. He was the proud grandfather to Katelin, Jennifer, Daniel, and Kordell, and a devoted father-in-law to Julie and Betsy. Tom was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a steady presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Tom answered the call of duty early in life, serving honorably in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War. After his military service, he continued his dedication to others as a police officer, a role he held for 28 years with unwavering integrity. Tom could also be found volunteering his time in all the youth sports that his family were involved in.
As he raised his family, he always put his own needs last to ensure the well-being and happiness of those he loved most. He lived a life of service to others and love without conditions.
He was never one to seek the spotlight, but his quiet wisdom and steady support left an immeasurable impact. He instilled in his boys a sense of integrity, love of country, and a respect for those around them.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
