Aida P. Gonzalez, 97, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Infiesto, Asturias, Spain, where she experienced the Spanish Civil War. Aida came to the United States on December 19, 1938.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Gonzalez, Sr.; and son, Dr. Frank Gonzalez, Jr.; father, Lino Prida, owner of the El Pasaje Restaurant in Ybor City; mother, Blanche Llosa Prida-Mendez; and sister, Carol de la Prida of Madrid, Spain.
Survivors include her daughter, Roxanne Kemph (Robert); adopted daughter/niece Blanche de la Cruz; daughter in-law, Sara Roquemore; grandchildren: Danny de la Cruz (Heather), Jessica Rice (Matt), Ryan Gonzalez (Nicole), Sean Gonzalez, and Erin Grimm (Matt); Great grandchildren: Saffron and Cyrus Gonzalez, William de la Cruz, Lawson and Leila Rice, and Brooke Grimm. She is also survived by her beloved, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
Entombment Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
