Alice Vennie Felix

Alice V. Felix, age 88, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Waltham, Ma., passed away on 03/13/2021.

Alice was born in Maynard, Ma. to John Hiltz Crosby and Alice (Stone) Crosby on 03/01/1933. She graduated from Watertown High School. She married Joseph D. Felix on July 20th, 1952 at St. Patrick’s church in Watertown, Ma. She worked as an office administrator for the State of Massachusetts at Metropolitan State Hospital for 10 years before retiring. She was involved in recreating and investigating her family genealogy, working alongside her lifelong best friend and husband Joe, while he researched his side of the family tree. Alice and Joe did everything together for the 61 years that they were married. She missed him terribly when she lost him in 2013, her life was never the same.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband Joe in 2013, her parents, and her dearly loved “little” brother William (Billy) Crosby.

Alice is survived by Diane Jamai of Tampa, FL, David Felix of Pawtucket, RI, Michael Felix (Kelly) of Williamsville, IL, Joseph Felix (Susan) of Gainesville, GA, grandchildren Nadia Jamai (Randy Moesteller) of Fredrick, MD, Amina Jamai of Washington, DC, Andrea Parks (Brit) of Sherman, IL, Aaron Felix (Mary) of Springfield, IL, great grandchildren Logan Mercer and Sloane Felix and her dearly loved niece Kimberly (Steve) Ambrose of Cary, NC.

Due to Covid-19 protocols, the visitation will be immediate family only.

A graveside service will be held at Cavalry Cemetery, 250 High St., Waltham, MA 02453 on Saturday April 10th at 12pm.

Memorials or donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Dearest cousins, thinking of you all at this time, so grateful for the work Alice and Joe put into tracing our family tree, without this, our link would never have been found , our friendship never formed. Although we never personally met Alice, her life story through Joe and Diane has brought our families closer no matter which continent we live in, we are always close to your side, holding hands and sharing the love for family .. Rest In Peace beautiful cousin, May your memories of her be eternally in your hearts, lifting your spirits and bringing a smile to your face 💗
