Alice M Fernandez

Born on July 20, 1929, in Ybor City of Tampa, FL, Alice was a woman of unwavering resilience and remarkable strength. She was the heart of our home – a firm guide and constant source of love, even when it was delivered with grit. Our Mom’s spirit was unmatched, and her words, whether tender or tough, were always genuine.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband and our beloved father, Emilio Fernandez, and her eldest son, Michael S. Fernandez, M.D. She leaves behind Suzanne B. Fernandez, our devoted sister-in-law, her children, Kristopher E. Fernandez and Susan, Eric G. Fernandez and Elena, and Alyson C. Fernandez; her grandchildren, Nathan E. Fernandez and Elizabeth, David E. Fernandez, Paul Fernandez, Matthew Fernandez and Julie Fernandez; and her great grandchildren, Eli E. Fernandez, Gideon A. Fernandez and Zoe N. Fernandez.

Our mother’s life touched many, and she will live on in the stories we share, the values we uphold, and the love that binds us, her children. Her presence was powerful, and her absence from our lives will be immeasurably felt.

A memorial service for Alice Fernandez will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church (PCPC), 3501 W. San Jose Street, Tampa, FL 33629, with visitation to follow at PCPC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.

Mom, we will miss you tremendously. You were truly one of a kind. May you be at peace with our loved ones until we join you.
