Antonia Cabrera was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on September 2, 1928. She was the middle child of Eladio Cabrera and Lucrecia Flores. Sister to Julio who was the oldest and to Eugenia being the youngest.
She was never married, but earned her MA in Education; working as an Elementary School Teacher and then as a School Principal for over 20 years, touching the lives of numerous children.
Antonia was a member of First Baptist Church in Rio Piedras for over 20 years. She was a dedicated woman of God who taught Sunday School and had a Life Group for years. She moved to Florida after retirement and was a member of a Spanish Baptist Church in Tampa. She then moved to Sun City and attended the Crossing Church until health issues impeded her from attending.
She was kind hearted always willing to extend a hand to whoever needed it. She is survived by nephew Julio Cabrera, niece Nilda Cortes and extended family.
A graveside service for Antonia will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
