April Kristy Drinkwater

April Kristy Drinkwater, age 67, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, surrounded by her husband and two sons. She was married to Gary F. Drinkwater and they would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this August. Born in Los Angeles, CA where she spent her early years. She then moved to Randolph, MA where she attended Randolph High School, class of 1974. That’s where she met her loving husband, they then married in 1976, eventually settling down and raising their two children in Kingston, MA. Upon retiring in 2021, April and husband Gary found Bay Bayou Resort in Tampa, FL. This was where she truly loved being, enjoying the small community feel of love and support. April was an animal lover, always having multiple dogs, cats and even horses running around the house. She was also something of a world traveler, mainly enjoying cruising the Caribbean and Alaskan waters. She enjoyed camping, ranging from the mountains of New Hampshire in a tent to traveling the US in their brand new fifth wheel camper. Some of her other passions were reading, music and enjoying the evening Florida sunsets. Although she loved to travel her greatest memories were spending time with her children and grandchildren. Being the wife of a Navy Veteran, Mother and Grandmother of Law Enforcement Officers, she was an extremely patriotic woman. Greatly affected by 9/11, she began donating to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. April is survived by her loving husband Gary, sons Brian and his wife Angelina Drinkwater of Tampa, FL; Scott and his wife Katie Drinkwater of Abington, MA; grandchildren Dylan and Maisy Drinkwater; brother Dana and his wife Lee Murray of Rockland, MA; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately.
