Barbara Ann Bennett

Barbara Harris Bennett, a life-long area resident of Tampa, Florida, passed away suddenly on June 15, 2022, at the age of 75.
Barbara was born on September 9, 1946, in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of Richard Samuel and Veta Elizabeth Harris.
She attended Tampa Junior Academy, a private church school, grades 1 through 8, and graduated high school at Fletcher Academy in Fletcher, North Carolina, in 1965.
Barbara married Alfred Bennett on September 4, 1966, and lived one year in Franklin, North Carolina. They then moved to Seffner, Florida, and were active in the Brandon Seventh-day Adventist Church before returning to Tampa and transferring to Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church was an important part of her as the values of her faith permeated every aspect of her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Alfred Bennett of Tampa, Florida.
She is lovingly remembered by her immediate family:

• Claire Bennett (granddaughter) of Bremerton, Washington.
• Meagan Glase (step granddaughter) of Apopka, Florida.
• Adrienne Glase (step granddaughter) of Apopka, Florida.
• LuCinda Reiswig (niece) and her husband, Kent, of Land o’ Lakes, Florida.
• Melissa Plunk (niece) and her husband, Ben, of Republic, Missouri.
• Ashlyn Reiswig (grandniece) of Land o’ Lakes, Florida.
• Jarin Reiswig, (grandnephew) of Land o’ Lakes, Florida.
• Benjamin Plunk (step grandnephew) of Springfield, Missouri.
A Memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 822 W. Linebaugh Ave. Tampa, Florida 33612.
